Getting materials from the Cornell MBE facility

III-V compound semiconductor materials are available from the MBE facility for non-profit uses. The facility will grow structures similar to those grown in the past so that there is high likelihood of success. There have been more than 10,000 wafers grown in the facility to date.

Experience includes growths of:

  • transistors
  • lasers
  • detectors
  • diodes
  • integrated optoelectronic devices
  • quantum well structures
  • low temperature GaAs
  • Bragg mirrors
  • and many others (inquire for details)

These and other structures can be grown at a reimbursement cost for hourly machine usage and substrates.
